The panelists recalled the history of hostile takeovers in Russia, discussed the changes of hostile takeovers’ technology for the last 15 years and legal measures against hostile takeovers and corporate raids.
January 22, 2016 LLC PRESIDENT CONSULT in cooperation with the Russian-British Chamber of Commerce in Saint- Petersburg, the Consulting firm Edwin Coe LLP, London, and Hansson Asset Management Ltd, London, and with the participation of Vladimir Miroshnichenko, a judge of the Arbitration Court of Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad Region, held an information event devoted to the norms of the Russian legislation on bankruptcy of physical persons as well as involvement of individuals’ foreign assets in the process of bankruptcy.

As of October 1, 2015, the amendments to the Law “On Insolvency (Bankruptcy)” (hereinafter referred to as “Bankruptcy law”) devoted to the bankruptcy of citizens including individual entrepreneurs came into effect.
On May 20, 2015, the Russian-British Chamber of Commerce in Saint-Petersburg along with the support of LLC “PRESIDENT CONSULT” and with participation of the consulting company Larssen Capital ( Crowe Horwath Group), Estonia, held a round table devoted to the new regulations on the controlled foreign companies new for Russia and a draft law of the Russian Federation “On voluntary declaration of assets and bank deposits and on amendments into the certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation”.
