"Administrative regulations on the provision of state service to the Federal Migration Service for issuing residence permits to foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Russian Federation", approved by Order of the Federal Migration Service from 29.02.2008 No. 41, supplemented by a new subsection, which establishes a procedure for the issuance and renewal of residence permits for a highly skilled specialist, working in Russia, his family members, children under the age of eighteen years, and adult disabled dependants of such person, who have just arrived in Russia.

International Convention on Simplification and Harmonization of Customs Procedures of 18 May 1973

21 November 2010 the Federal Law of 03.11.2010 № 279-FZ "On accession of the Russian Federation to the International Convention on Simplification and Harmonization of Customs Procedures of 18 May 1973, as amended by the Protocol on changes in the International Convention on Simplification and Harmonization of Customs procedures of June 26, 1999" (hereinafter - the act of accession) entered into force.

Using mediation in arbitration proceedings

The Federal Law of 27 July 2010 № 193-FZ "On alternative dispute resolution procedure involving a mediator (mediation)" comes into force January 1, 2011.

The mediation procedure, according to the law, refers to the way to resolving disputes through a mediator based on the voluntary consent of the parties to reach a mutually acceptable solution. In this case, the mediators may be independent individuals, invited by the parties as intermediary to resolve the dispute and assist the parties in finding a solution.
