A list of countries whose citizens do not need visas to enter the Russian Federation can be seen on the official website of the Russian Foreign Ministry (http://www.mid.ru/bdomp/dks.nsf/entry).

The Russian Foreign Ministry provides information on the availability of visa-free regime for entry to the Russian Federation in accordance with international agreements involving the Russian Federation (for all passports excluding special entry regime for border residents, crew members of aircrafts and ships, as well as international railway service crew members) as of 20 April 2012.

This information will be updated if international agreements made by the Russia Federation come into force establishing a different procedure of entry than those provided by the Federal Law of 15.08.1996 N 114-FZ "On the Procedure of Exit from and Entry to the Russian Federation."

Below is a list of countries whose citizens do not require a visa to enter the Russian Federation:

Abkhazia
Azerbaijan
Argentina (for a maximum of 90 days in each 180 day period)
Armenia
Belarus
Bosnia and Herzegovina (for up to 30 days - for tourists, up to 90 days - for official and private purposes)
Brazil (for a maximum of 90 days in each 180 day period)
Venezuela (for a maximum of 90 days in each 180 day period)
Guatemala (for a maximum of 90 days in each 180 day period)
Israel (for a maximum of 90 days in each 180 day period)
Kazakhstan
Kyrgyzstan
Columbia (for a maximum of 90 days in each 180 day period)
Cuba (for up to 30 days)
Macedonia (for up to 90 days)
Moldova
Nicaragua (for a maximum of 90 days in each 180 day period)
Peru (for a maximum of 90 days in each 180 day period)
Hong Kong SAR (for up to 14 days)
Serbia (for up to 30 days)
Tajikistan
Thailand (for up to 30 days)
Turkey (for up to 30 days, the total duration of stay does not exceed 90 days in each 180 day period)

Uruguay (for a period not exceeding 90 days per period of 180 days)
Croatia (up to 30 days - for tourists, up to 90 days - for private purposes if the original invitation, tourist voucher or other documents that confirm the purpose of the trip are provided)
